We don't have anyone who can actually be called a good bunter. Stubbs is okay but further demonstrates why the front office doesn’t think much of him. What? I've heard rumors that he's a much-maligned all star catcher whom the Astros don't like because of his hair color or some shit.

To pass him over for a dud like Garneau last year was ridiculous. I wish we could keep him on the roster to allow us to pinch hit or pinch run for Maldonado.

He is too small to be a catcher and his skill set isn't good enough to do much of anything else. I'd still take him over Garcia and I'd take Toro back over Garcia. Every team Garcia has been on has released him. We need to release him and DFA Joe Smith when McCullers is ready.

I don't like that particular decision, but I like that he had a good hit against the shift and almost had another RBI single. I also like that he can run and can play other positions.

He's very similar to Biggio actually: Stubbs: 5'10 170lbs Biggio: 5'11 185lbs He needs to work on putting on a little more muscle mass is all.

I hope Stubbs makes it....And I am pulling for Straw, but Chas has been performing better....but we will see as the season goes....and if Siri keeps producing in the minors, he could be called up in a month or so.... Any word on De Goti? He is supposed to be a super utility guy.... During the season - Maldonado or Castro can be rested on the IL, and Stubbs can fill in. CF - Straw or Chas 4th OF - Straw, Chas or Siri Utility - Diaz and possibly De Goti No more Toro or Garcia

I do know that I am tired of Toro and Garcia as well.

Like paastro mentioned recently, players are babified now with their off-days scheduled well in advance by most clubs. Knowing they're gonna sit the next day, it's not uncommon for ballplayers to give an all-out effort the game before As was discussed before this has been done in Baseball over the last few years, with sitting players. Now to make Saint look like the board's Kreskin I will add these two points. The Rays sat Ji-Man Choi yesterday against the Yankees where he has owned Cole with over a .400 Batting average. Also in Coles 12 starts for the Yankees this season they are at a 6/6 split. That is a lot of bang for the buck for a .500 split.

I would like to see Siri come up to see what he can do at this level. I am not familiar with De Goti but I'd like to see him rather than waste time with Garcia or Toro. I wish we could find a place for Stubbs.

The rumor people are spreading is that it was because it was Cole's first start since they said they would start suspending pitchers for 10 games if they find substances on the ball (since he has been accused of it before).

I remember when Cole jumped ship from the Stros, talking with papa and agreeing that he most likely had his career year in 18. I am not saying he is going to flop, most likely will be a half decent pitcher for the next few years. But the Yankees are having more of there share of other problems, for a team that keeps trying to buy a championship. Too add another point, Cole is not getting the luxury of the good defense behind him that he received in Houston.

That is ironic since the Yankees are known for accusing opposing pitchers of doctoring the ball.
