31-25
Greinke vs. Ryu
Ryu has been damn good this year and the Blue Jays have some scary guys in the lineup. Vlad Jr. is the scariest bat in baseball right now, imo. This could be a rough game if Greinke isn't on.

Prediction: A few of the Jays young studs will dominate tonight, and tomorrow some nimrod from this forum will post that we need to trade for those players by offering Smith and Straw and Whitley. Here is my prediction: 1. Thomas will make adequate contributions with semi-funny content. 2. Killabees will make some decent comments that don't offend anybody. 3. Corch will complain about Dusty and/or any mental errors. Plus probably complain about the lack of enough moves made by Click. 4. I'll post exit velocity or something else that nobody cares about but I still do it anyways, and I'll probably either congratulate or complain about Altuve depending on his level of success. 5. Union will complain about multiple things that are really minor issues in the scheme of things, but they annoy him. Either lack of hitting against a shift, throwing too good of a pitch on 0-2, or Straw not stealing/bunting. 6. You will make fun of somebody making a post that you think is dumb or obvious, and you'll call the team losers or idiots if they suck. 7. Bear will be the voice of reason and post something that everybody else will agree with but didn't know how to vocalize it properly. 8. Olpapa will make seemingly drunk posts about the relievers, but really it's just because he hates Smith and Raley (for mostly good reason). 9. abregman will be overly optimistic and tell everybody to get along. 10. Sempersmom, if she is here, will like a lot of positive comments and probably laugh at a post by thomasj. 11. PA will argue with Corch or say something about the Yankees or the NE coastal teams. 12. Batman will lurk briefly and not say anything. 13. m240 and talshill may or may not post anything during the game, but they'll likely post something thoughtful and mature afterwards. 14. If Nathan shows up, it will be to say how we should trade Yuli to Toronto to play with his brother and get Cavan and Vlad Jr. back in return.

That is amazingly accurate, especially Sherwie, with a couple of exceptions:
1. I might call them losers, but rarely call them idiots. I also won't know how they performed because I'm not watching the games. Also, Corch's mongoloid posts are usually the only ones I call out. I do recognize that it happens a lot, but it's because everything he posts is mongoloidal. 2. Bearbryant's posts are rarely cogent because he makes too much of an effort to sound smart/edgy.

Mental errors always drove me nuts when I coached and they still do. 6. You are spot on here. He only posts to make fun of somebody's post that he thinks is dumb mainly because he is too dumb to comprehend what is contained in the post. He will hammer "Stromdaddy" and blame everything on the pitchers no matter what happens. He may pitch another little hissy fit, say he is through with these "losers", and go back to his little video game.......but never fear.........he will return and repeat the same thing. LOL LOL 11. Corch and PA are getting along well and I enjoy discussing baseball with him.

You are the most transparent poster here........You call me a mongoloid because most of my posts contain things that are beyond your level of understanding. You have no clue about how to evaluate what the team or a player does, so I am a "mongoloid" for posting my opinion. We are still waiting to see a sensible post on ANYTHING remotely related to Astros baseball. You thing all problems are created by pitchers and "Stromdaddy". I know what you are going to post before I read it. Put on some big boy pants and make an effort to learn the game.

I enjoy what you post even if I don't always agree with you. You said I never post anything about baseballAs with Sherwin, I am duly impressed by your ability to remember specifics from a game played on Sunday, July 23, 1981, at 3PM, where Joe Smegma missed a popup that cost the team a win and led to the Yankees winning the pennant on a Fred Corkleson no-hitter where he struck out the final batter on a called strike on a pitch that was well outside the zone, one of many errors of Joe West, who had been an umpire 29 years at that point and should have known better. The 47201 fans in attendance were all devastated.

I was wondering why I got all his culture and player references like Doug DeCinces and Manny Trillo. I used to watch their highlight reels on This Week in Baseball when I was a kid

I don't know how old Bear is, but his posting style and recall reminds me of my dad who I can't convince to post here. I think I asked him how old he was, not too long ago, and was surprised to find that he was an elder-ish fella. I'd thought he was much younger.
