The 9th was exciting. Altuve just missed a 3-run double to tie or even a grand slam. To me, hard hit outs with runners on base more frustrating than wimpy groundouts. Twice he hit the ball well with men on and we got basically nothing out of it. The game was full of sh*t like that. My least favorite was the first two-run homer. Greinke looked like he was saving the lead and then gave it up with two strikes. Nothing is more annoying than that. Bielak is garbage so it was bound to happen.

If you listen to the network the Stros might be in pursuit of Kimbrel, I don't know who they could be offering to pull a deal.

Re-signing your own player doesn't count. He was a free agent. It's too late for you to add stipulations.

I could not a few others, but in heat stroke mode.

There was no real talk of us pursuing him until it was announced at the last minute. My point is that sportswriters spout out 100s of "in pursuit of" rumors, and for our team they are almost always fruitless.

Verlander was heavily pursued before the non-waiver trade deadline of July 31st. He was acquired on the now defunct waiver trade deadline of August 31st.

There are not many over the history of this team, that is not the MO. Do I really think the Stros are going to get Kimbrel, I would have better luck playing the lottery.

If you go back Zack Britton was also a hot item as JV. Could you imagine if it was Britton over JV, Houston would still be looking for their first ring.
