I really enjoyed having Jeff Bagwell on the telecast. He is supposed to do this one time per month.........I wish they could make it every game. He added a lot.

20 years ago, we'd never have heard those "Damn good tacos" commercials on Astros radio. And I really don't think we're better off hearing it. "Colorful metaphors" really have no value after the shock has worn off (and it has). They are redundant and useless. The nouns on the other hand, do convey some information. There's nothing wrong with Simply Good Tacos if that is the truth. Even that wastes a word. Good Tacos is sufficient. |
