I keep reading all these stories about Sabathia being a HOFer. Dude's career ERA is nearly 4. Is that the type of pitcher we're enshrining now? If he's a Yankee? Yes.

Case for:251-161 3093 K 116 ERA+ Averaged a super impressive 188 IP per season. CY ALCS MVP 6x AS New York YankeeCase Against:3.74 ERA 1.259 WHIP 62.5 WAR I think he kind of falls in the middle of the pack of great-not elite starting pitchers that eventually got in or are still waiting. I don't feel he should get in before Schilling, but he likely will. He had a better career than Jack Morris who made it in, and yet he probably wasn't as good of a pitcher as Kevin Brown who didn't even stay on the ballot past his first eligible year. Since he was a Yankee, I expect he makes it in his 3rd or 4th year unless he dies soon and then he'll get in quicker due to emotions. Voting for the HoF has become so random in a lot of ways. FTFY Yeah but *I* don't consider that a case for.

Yeah but *I* don't consider that a case for. It's the difference between shouldn't and wouldn't.
Do you really think Berkman wouldn't still be on the ballot if he played for the Yankees for more than half a season?

No I get it. I know they get more credit since they're Yankees. I just don't buy into it. And I think it's a joke that Mariano was the first 100% to get in. Not that he wasn't deserving, but that others were too.

I wonder if there's a way to convince Cole that he's good but he went elite when Maldonado started catching him... then turn around and sign Maldy long term

It's awkward to see Julia talk about the Astros with the Yankee covering guy right next to her. They both talk about their teams and their hopes and both shy away when the other talks not wanting to counter. It's almost like a courtroom where the prosecuting attorney talks to the jury and the defense attorney is shaking their head

I bet he swings for the fences on every AB hoping to connect against Verlander.

Now the narrative is... The Yankees could have gotten Verlander and Cole but they didn't want to. WHAT?

After watching the replay of last night's game, it became obvious that the game ended for all practical purposes in the bottom of the 5th when Pressly came in with the bases loaded and one out and struck out Torres and EE. Yankees left them loaded and failed to score........The Yankees never threatened again other than the Sanchez homer off James. The Yankees basically quit at the end of the 5th.

The Yankees finally wised up on their lineup too. That's a mean 1-4 to go through to start a game.

Yordan needs to get back on track this game, because that is pretty weak 7-8-9.....If not, the Yankees have an enormous advantage in the bottom of the order comparisons.

I really hope he's so worried about tipping his pitches that he loses focus on his pitching mechanics.

They expected our bullpen to give it up.

I don’t care if the Yankees cry foul about Stanton and Andújar. We all know how much injuries destroyed us last season.
