Well my friends..., I have said that if MLB ever got on board with the kneeling during the national anthem like NFL and NBA, I would be done with them. I just read about the kneeling during the anthem and show of support for the BLM organization prior to the Dodgers vs Giants game. I anticipate more of the same at the Astros game tonight. As much as I love the game, I love my country more. I won’t be in any way associated with any organization that supports disrespect and hatred of my country nor will I support in any way an organization that sympathizes with an organization whose goal is to destroy America. God bless all of you. It has been fun. Dodgers/Giants are west coast fruits. I'll hold judgment until I see what our guys do tonight. I didn't hear anything about them kneeling in Kansas City. MLB is making the teams have BLM spelled out in the stadiums. I'm tired of all this crap. When the black soldier killed the Hispanic girl from Houston in Fort Hood, I didn't hear anything from BLM. All lives matter. I agree with Mom. Anything other than ALL LIVES MATTER is unacceptable. BLM doesn't get upset unless it is a black person being shot or killed by a white person. There are more blacks murdered by blacks than anything else, yet BLM and the media is silent because getting upset about those deaths doesn't promote their political agenda. I hope I'm wrong but I won't be surprised if we see some Astros take a knee. There is NO excuse to take a knee and disrespect this country. There are other way to protest things you think are unjust. They won't do it, but, I would support trading any Astro that takes knee and I don't care if it's Bregman, Altuve, Springer or whoever. I can't respect anyone who takes a knee during the anthem. |

People seem upset. You have to remember that different movements may mean different things to different people. We're not all going to agree on everything.
I'm sure most of these guys are just trying to show their support for their fellow teammates and such, and don't even think or look that deeply into it.
It's just not worth taking personally, imo.

I take it VERY personally.

I respect the way both teams did it tonight. Even though 3 players from the Mariners held up their fist, I am ok with it. I noticed the camera paid a lot of attention to Bregman and Altuve. Good to see them hold their caps over their heart. Go Stros!

All games against West coast teams start at 8pm Central / 6 pm Pacific whether home or away. This is to maximize the tv audience for these games. Rangers are doing the same. |
