Graveman vs. James
2-1
I think we were all pretty frustrated with the game yesterday on top of the news about JV, but the Astros are still the team to beat in the AL West. A good game from James and a win today has us right back on track for where we need to be.
With any luck, within two weeks we could have JV, Urquidy, and Yordan all back, with Pressly and Osuna in their normal bullpen roles. While Biagini and Devo have continued to be disappointing, Taylor has looked excellent.

Brantley and Maldonado are crushing it without much help from the bigger bats. We’ll be okay. I think most of us didn’t care about who won because we were busy looking for Verlander news.

Bring up Whitley.

That could be solved for us if the idiot in the commissioner's office cancels the season due to the Marlins "outbreak". If Verlander is down for any period of time, and the season continues, we may have to use Whitley whether they want to or not. Pardon my skepticism, but ,with all the inaccurate reporting of positive cases, I don't believe a damn thing I hear from the media about this virus. In the county where I live,. we went from 39 cases reported to 242 in two weeks right after busineses re-opened.......coincidence......I don't think so. Lies to keep people scared of this crap with nearly a 98% recovery rate.

We had a little bad luck with a few hard hit balls yesterday too (especially Toro with runners on base one AB). Even with the bad pitching performances we probably still win that game most times.

We have a better chance if Devenski is only used as the mop up guy since they seem to think they have to keep him.

I agree it will be for asymptomatic fear-mongering.

Glad we are giving Maldonado a rest. I was expecting him to rest today. He can't catch every game. I still wish Stubbs would be ahead of Garneau.

Every game this season could be the last. Big cities are magnets for Baseball, COVID and anarchist riots. And we know bending the knees to BLM won't do the MLB any good. Expect riots at ballparks just to attract attention.

Expect riots at ballparks just to attract attention. The riots could be controlled if leaders had the balls to do what is necessary to stop them. Trump needs to ignore mayors and governors and send in the military. This crap has gone on for much too long.

Graveman was promising with the Jays and A’s, but injuries have made him mediocre. They need to forget about Verlander and focus on getting W’s.

Garbage ABs. The big three continue to look awful. Is Altuve afraid to swing?

I think the distancing is getting to them. No slaps and high fives to get them going.

Josh James reminds me of Vince Velásquez. They have great stuff but have a hard time finishing off hitters.
