The deck was stacked against us because of Montas, but the offense is looking lost regardless.

It's starting to look like the West no longer belongs to our beloved Astros. It doesn’t look good right now but I’m not throwing in the towel just yet. We have key pieces missing that will soon return. |

If the offense gets their head out of their asses, we’ll be fine. However, it’s getting old talking about what ifs while the Astros keep losing. Teams all around both leagues are loving this. They are telling each other that we now have evidence that the Astros don't hit nearly as well without stealing signs. We are doing exactly what they want us to do. |

Glad to see Dusty get to rest Sneed today. We never had the lead so Dusty couldn't bring in his prize reliever to blow the game.
We are also seeing why George Springer is the MVP of the Astros. Our offense suffers terribly when he isn't in the lineup. Tucker leads off the 9th with a double so with us needing baserunners our dumb little second baseman swings at the first pitch. Bregman finally gets a hit and drives in our only run. Brantley's hot streak ended when he sat out with the injury. Straw can't steal first base so he is useless.

Don't worry. Sneed got a day of rest today so he will be available tomorrow. I can see that Sneed is your new Jake. No. But, I am about to declare Straw as not being as good as Jake. Jake is the superior defender, has more power, produced more runs.........All Straw can do better than Jake is run faster. He can't get on base except to pinch run. Right now,I'd rather have Jake than Straw. To be clear, I'd release Sneed......he's garbage. |
