After making some bad moves earlier, Dusty did a great job in the bottom of the 11th. He knew they would walk Correa when he sent him up to pinch hit. Stubbs was coming in to catch so he had him use the sac bunt to move the runners. Then, Straw droves in the winner. Straw appears to be swinging the bat better. He has made some outs while making hard contact.
Altuve continues to suck. Since they think he can't be benched, at least put him in the 9th spot. I have never seen a guy go from being one of the top hitters in the game to being totally useless like he has this season. Speaking of useless, we know our farm system is in bad shape when we have to resort to recalling Mayfield to replace Brantley and now Jones comes back to replace Yordan. Dusty cannot be giving guys like Correa a day off with so many guys injured.
Outstanding pitching by all......zack, Paredes, Pressly, and Scrubb. I held by breath and hoped we didn't see Sneed come in when Scrubb came in to pitch the 11th. LOKL

They said it was Springer's wrist, but, resting Correa with all of the other guys out is just plain stupid. Mayfield is a dud. I feel the same way about mayfield that you did kemp and white. You must really hate Mayfield.  And I despised Stassi more than Kemp. I just hated Kemp's leg-humping routine. I wonder if he is humping the A's legs. LOL |

I noramly don't post much during game but wait until it is over. I don't always go back and read all the posts, but, today I did, and, I am so glad because I learned some things I didn't know. LOL LOL
1. abregman let us know that nathangarza is shipping Correa to the Reds for who knows what.
2. Straw told us all to eat shit...then, he drove in the winning run later. LOL
3. I told Altuve and Mayfield both to eat shit more than once.
4, When Dusty had Murphy, who was 2-19, given a free pass to get to a guy who was 8-20, I told him to eat shit along with a few other things. LOL LOL Then, I was proven right when Tapia drove in their run.
It all worked out when our pen did the job, Dusty made the right move bringing in Correa for Maldonado and in sending Stubbs in to get the bunt down. A big win. We still keep getting great performances from our young bullpen.
