The question of the day is "How will our incompetent manager blow this one with a dumb pitching move"? He is doing what he has always done.......blow games by mismanaging the pitching. Crane won't fire him for fear of being called a racist.

Crane won't fire him for fear of being called a racist. I don't like Dusty, but he doesn't have a lot of consistent options out of the bullpen. Frankly, when you look at the injuries and ineffectiveness of our veteran pitchers that we planned to have this year, it's amazing we're even a .500 team. Verlander - Out Osuna - Out Smith - Out Urquidy - Out for two-thirds of the season. Peacock - Out for two-thirds of the season. Pruitt - Out McCullers - Ineffective and now hurt. James - Ineffective Devenski - Ineffective Biagini - Ineffective Sneed - Ineffective Pressly - Half effective If it wasn't for us lucking out that Javier, Paredes, Taylor, and Scrubb have mostly been quite good (and Bielak for a few starts), we would be in a horrible spot. Valdez and Greinke have been the only veterans we've been able to rely on, and the weight of the load they've been carrying has started to wear them down. Heck, us even having a chance yesterday was because we got a great random spot start from some nobody. We had no business even making that a close game if we're being honest. I don't like Dusty...but I don't know what more could be done either.

We have stopped getting health updates on Verlander, so I assume we won't get him back. I realize Dusty has a young, inexperienced pen, but, he blew last night's game by going to James. He has blown other games by going to Devenski and Sneed. They need to just get rid of Sneed, Devenski. and Biagini.......all three are terrible so stop wasting time with them. Where is Abreu? They shipped him out never to be mentioned again.

Hopefully in time for a start or two before the postseason (if we make the postseason).

Not one baserunner through five........Springer had no business swinging 3-0.

Tuned in just to see a homer by Olson. Always giving up runs after scoring.

Solid work by Urquidy. He's showing that last year wasn't a fluke thus far.

Astros at 22-23 now. Time for Dusty to put down the toothpick and throw some chairs around. Time for Crane to admit he made a mistake when he hired Dusty and send his tired old ass back home........It won't happen because it would be a racist act and Sylvester Turner would organize BLM to riot outside of Minute Maid Park. We can write this season off. Other teams are laughing at us due to the cheating scandal. It would be nice to see Hinch back next year but it will never happen. I think bringing him back could help in re-signing some free agent players. We have to re-sign Correa and Springer if we want to compete.

He is injury prone, Astros should sell high in the upcoming off-season..

He is injury prone, Astros should sell high in the upcoming off-season.. I changed my mind because he is playing well and has avoided injury this season, but the main reason is because we have nothing to replace him. Losing him puts a glaring hole at SS. We have him locked up for one more year. I wouldn't deal him this off-season. We MUST re-sign Springer or we lose our outfield. Let Reddick walk and try to sign Brantley and Springer. One thing this season is showing us is he have some good, young pitching coming along and we still don't know what we get from Whitley, if anything. Urquidy and Valdez are looking solid in the rotation. We still have JV and Zack next season. Put Javier in there and we have a solid five. Put McCullers in the pen to close or set up. Garcia looks good right now. Then, we have Paredes, Taylor, and Scrubb. We do need to add a couple of experienced relievers.

Don't think for a minute that it was a coincidence that Mike Fiers didn't face the Astros this season.......it was planned for the gutless SOB not to face us.

They have a good chance still. We'll nsee! Since the top two teams in each division automatically get in the playoffs, the Astros should hold off the Mariners to come in second in the division. After that, without a healthy Verlander, they can't get past the first round.

After that, without a healthy Verlander, they can't get past the first round. The Astros have lost something like seven of the last eight (with 15 games left in the season). At that pace, they'll be lucky to hold off the Rangers and Angels.
