Pride won't overcome an incompetent manager. Or pitchers who can't pitch and batters who can't hit without cheating. How did our pitchers cheat? Just asking for a friend.

Don’t like watching when we’re on national TV. Sherwin told me we were losing 5-1. Just checked the score and saw that we took the lead. Hope our bullpen doesn’t blow it.

What a comeback! If anything was going to give us some momentum, this game was it. Fantastic job by the bullpen and the offense finally broke through.

It’s so nice to see our guys smiling and having fun. Maybe all it took was a non-divisional game.

The biggest and best win of the year at a time when it was really needed. Great comeback in the 9th after showing nothing for the whole game. Most satisfying was doing it against Jansen. The question I had was why was Straw not used to run for Maldonado instead of Mayfield? Is Straw nursing an injury?
I agree that Tucker needs a day off. It's hard to give him one with what we have available.

We won't win with him managing. I repeat......it probably won't happen but I wish Crane would do all he can to bring Hinch back. The players like him and they play hard for him. I also think bringing him back could help in re-signing some free agents.

I'll say it right now... If they manage to accomplish anything this year, that win will be the reason why.

I totally agree with that.......He would be better than Mayfield on one leg. You also hit the nail on the head with your other post.....If we win anything, we can point back to this game. Pressly was shaky but got the job done...The DP may have saved us.

I can’t think of one player on the Athletics, besides Semien, that I would pay superstar dollars to acquire if I were an owner. Chapman is a close second, but he’s already plagued with hip issues. Montas is great but inconsistent, and Manaea himself has injury issues. Now, look at how many stars the Astros have. It’s not close.

Pressly did a great job with every batter he faced besides Pederson. There’s no reason why that guy, who hadn’t played in a while, should’ve blasted an opposite field double.

Losing Osuna has really hurt the pen because it put others into roles they aren't used to and can't handle. Pressly was unhittable before the injury last season, but, he has not what he was then, but, he is the only option we have to close games at the present time. I still contend that would be the way to use McCullers when he gets healthy. James has the stuff but is still a head case who can't consistently have control. We need Peacock to get back to form. What has saved the pen to a degree is the work of Paredes, Scrubb, Taylor, and Raley. I think Perez could come around. I wish they would forget they had Sneed. I expect Mayfield to be sent to the taxi squad when they activate Altuve. I still don't like it because we are not using Stubbs and wasting time with Garneau.

If Pérez had the ability to get righties out, I’d have more faith. All the infielders playing in place of Altuve are bench players at best, including Díaz.

Diaz is definitely the best utility infielder. I thought Toro would hit better than he has.......I wish they would send Toro and Mayfield both out when they add Altuve and bring up Taylor Jones or Tanielu. Blake Taylor got righties out when healthy.
