I’ve watched a fair share of Astros playoff baseball. This is the worst performance I’ve ever seen for a single round. Atrocious.

But you got to tip your hat to the Rays, they're pretty solid all the way around.... Thank God they beat the Yankees. With all has happened to us in this series, it has to be the Rays year. Every break they needed.....they have gotten it. We need a break....they make a great defensive play to take it away. Hats off to their defense. I just wish we had made them earn the runs they got yesterday and in the big inning today. As has been said, we are fortunate to be where we are after losing Verlander, Osuna, and Alvarez. We found some good, young pitching that will help in future seasons. Kyle Tucker is showing why we refused to trade him. We need a good off-season.....re-sign Springer and Brantley. Add a backup catcher and try to sign a proven starting pitcher and a couple of veteran relievers. I hate losing under any circumstances, but, I detest giving games away. I don't understand why Dusty pulled Urquidy after he got what could have been a DP ball. It made no sense. Urquidy was not responsible for the mess we were in. |

On the bright side, the Dodgers are down two games and Kershaw remains a playoff disaster. I can enjoy pulling for the Rays if it comes to that and it looks like that is going to happen. I hate for us to lose, but, I am consoled by knowing the Yankees are gone and the Dodgers are in the hole. |

Bases loaded in the 8th.......same thing....left them loaded.
We have another slim chance in the 9th with two on after Toro and Springer draw walks. In defense of Jose, he was screwed by Nelson the plate umpire. No way Jose swung at strike three and Nelson refused to get help and blew the call. It is pathetic when a damn umpire is too arrogant to admit he needs help. Jose did NOT swing at the pitch.
Other than Altuve's horrible throw on what should have been a DP, Dusty proves why he is known for making mistakes in crucial situations regarding his pitching. Why the hell do you pull Urquidy when he induced the DP. Pedro Martinez is on the postgame show saying Urquidy should have stayed in the game. Jose opened the door and Dusty's bad decision cost us. Paredes was wild and hit two hitters forcing in two runs. I repeat..........Dusty is not a good manager and needs to be fired.
The Rays have a very good manager........we have an old retread who always loses when it counts.

I don’t see the AL champ winning it all anyway. I'm different, I want to see a team that did it right, like the Rays, win it all... Actually the Braves did it correctly as well... Just not wanting the Dodgers that's for damn sure. |

And f*ck the Rays. They've played amazing defense, but they've been hella lucky too. From balls hit right at them to that 2-RBI "double" that blooped over 1B. They've been lucky. Not to mention that they played us with us missing 3 very important players.
