Is Myles Straw a major leaguer? Hell no. He looks like he belongs in the Rookie league. And, this is what our moron GM thought could replace George Springer and failed to sign an outfielder. Thanks to Framber not knowing how to field, they are up against the luxury tax threshold.

We are horrible. I am starting to agree with Lance. Why are some games postponed but we have to play missing so many? I have to wonder the same thing. We put five into quarantine and keep playing. The last I heard, the Twins had ONE guy in quarantine and they have had two games with the Angels postponed and will probably have another. I have to wonder if we chose to keep playing or were we told we had to.

Doesn't matter how many errors we make or how much the pitcher sucks when we only get ONE hit.

Doesn't matter how many errors we make or how much the pitcher sucks when we only get ONE hit. You are right. We are playing because of the sign stealing. I may be wrong but it looks to me like our pitchers are getting squeezed by the plate umpires and our hitters have wide strike zone. I would like to hear an explanation as to why we have to keep playing after sending five guys down but the Twins can postpone games with only ONE reported in quarantine. No excuse for our pitiful hitting. NONE of those who should be carrying the load are stepping up. If anything, they have gone in the tank. Our replacements are responsible for what little offense we have.

We are horrible. I am starting to agree with Lance. Why are some games postponed but we have to play missing so many? I believe it has to do with a team having an actual positive covid test (Twins) vs. a team's players just being in contact with a positive person (Astros).

On this forum, there is always someone who will ignore the pitcher giving up 2 walks and a bomb to the OF and blame the defense for it. Odorizzi deserves some blame, but that was a catchable ball for any CFer and should definitely be for Straw.

Put McCormick in the lineup. He can't do worse than Straw.

Running backwards, it’s a 50/50 proposition.

I was hoping he could hack it as a slap hitter, but all he’s shown is an inability to bunt or pull the ball. He’s easy for a pitcher to attack. He also is nothing extraordinary on defense with his circuitous routes to fly balls and liners. Also, his greatest asset is his speed, but he’s shown no real skill in either reading the pitcher or in stealing bases with enough frequency thus far. As far as I’m concerned, guys like him and Tucker should be stealing whenever second base is open. Anything less should be unacceptable if a righty is on the mound.
