I remember when Lou Piniella was playing for the Yankees and a couple of heckler were giving him hell during a slump. Lou finally got tired of it. One of them had been telling him how old and tired he looked. On the way to the dugout at the end of an inning, this guy started again telling him he looked tired. Lou stopped and said, "If you'd keep your wife out of my bed at night, I could get more rest". LOL LOL

Nothing is wrong with it if you happen to like that kind of movie and the Quaids. I watched a couple of the National Lampoon movies with Chevy Chase and liked them. What Quaid did was fictional.........Altuve actually threw the ball away. The all-time dumbass stunt Altuve pulled was the game when he went to the plate with two out in the bottom of the 9th, a man on base, and he represented the tying run. We needed a home run to tie the game and the little fool tried to bunt and was thrown out to end the game. That is probably his biggest brain fart, but, I am sure Saint will have a way to explain it so he wasn't at fault. LOL LOL |

But given the choice between appearance and performance, I'll take the guy who can do a better job on the field, hands-down. I have less tolerance for behavior. Too much trash-talk or showing off will sour me on a player. Jose Bautista, for instance. Then again, if the player's behavior is a totally strange but not insulting to the opposing players, fans, or the game itself, that can actually be endearing and add something to the game. |
