The player of the game is the entire team, led by the pitching staff and Mr. Baker.

That was all Lance. Domination and worked around fielding mistakes without letting it bother him. That was ace-type stuff.

I agree with Michael, that this was very much a team win and Dusty should be acknowledged too. But the PoG honor was definitely earned by McTwitchy. He stood as the tallest of the tall.

Lance was THE MAN! This game was the best team win I have seen this season. Super excited the way they all came together.

Looks like Lance is solidifying his position as ace of the rotation. I wouldn't classify him as an ace. Now what he did last night, yes.

This game was a slight edge over the one in Chicago because of the runs allowed. Those were two dynamic performances.

I wouldn't classify him as an ace. Now what he did last night, yes. As long as Framber keeps the pedestrian outings going, Lance is the ace. At the end of last season, I thought Framber was our ace. His first 2-3 games back this season, he looked like an ace. Lately, not so much. Greinke has been just plain awful of late. Lance has been the best, most consistent of our starters. That game last night was the best start we have had from any starter all season unless you go back to Lance's start in Chicago.

If we have an ace, it's Lance. It damn sure isn't Greinke. Who said it was Greinke? I think he just gets labeled as an ace because he has been a lot in his career. I don’t think anyone here though thinks or labels him as our ace.

Only recently, have I not heard him mentioned as "Astros ace Zack Greinke". I think MLB network referred to him as our ace not long ago. He is not close to being an ace at the present time.

Lance is definitely the best pitcher we have. We don’t have a true ace (until Lance completely stops falling apart at the smallest of mishaps).

Been some time since I had a player of the game. Tonight the honor belongs to Mr. Garcia. That was the start we needed!

Jones or McCormick.....but OI going 5 innings without giving up a run, along with only giving up three hits two walks, Should be up for consideration.
Even with the shutout his ERA is still high at 4.59, but his WHIP is good at 1.19

Even with the shutout his ERA is still high at 4.59, but his WHIP is good at 1.19 I’d give it to Odorizzi if he went 6 or 7, which he rarely if ever does. Jones’s “triple” was the most important hit of the night. Without it, the A’s might’ve been just a game behind the Astros.

I put a ton of thought into this one. Congrats Mr. Jones on being Abregmanfan's player of the Game.

He was pulled out after 81 pitches.... Hopefully next time he can go six
