Using Chas to pinch hit and not putting him in CF like they should have has cost them two runs this inning. How could they be that damn stupid, especially with a fly ball pitcher coming in. I totally agree. What was Espada thinking? |

I hope they learn to stop putting Pressly in if it's a non-save situation. He sucks every time. First three up got hits and they scored. Had one out with Cole's brother in law up there representing the tying run. But, Crawford struck out and we survived to win the first game of the series.

He hasn't always been able to throw his best slider and he has left curves over the middle of the plate. It is great that we have Graveman to close games when necessary. If Pressly continues to falter, I'd hope they have the good sense to move Graveman to the closer role. In any case, having one of these guys to close, plus Yimi Garcia, is a good position to be in. Hopefully when Maton arrives, we see Bielak sent to Sugar Land and Raley released. I predict that Abreu gets sent down once Baez is activated. I had rather keep Javier with the main club and send him down. |

Plus, you know he had to be in contact with our genius, Dusty. When I saw Chas coming up to pinch hit, I was saying to please keep him in the game in CF and put Tucker and Brantley back in their normal positions to strengthen the defense. They needed to remember this is SF where the wind can be a problem and it was. The screw up was Tucker not taking charge when he and Brantley both converged on the fly ball. Letting that ball drop could have ended up hurting us worse than it did. As it was, it cost us two runs. |

There were a couple of high schools in East Texas who hired girls basketball coaches who couldn't get certified to teach so they made them Director of Maintenance. I knew one of very well. He lost his job when he got a DWI on the way home from one of his games. LOL LOL |
