Not many people realize this, but fairly soon medicine in Texas is going to be in a mess. We're projected to be about 16,000 RNs short by the end of the decade. Nearly half of the RNs in the state are over 50. Short on MDs too. My advice: don't get sick right now.

I am not in Medical Field and I can tell you how it has affected me personally. Seeing as my age (over 66) and I have a 16-year-old son how the ACA (Obama Care) has been a disaster. With insurance at work etc. In NY we are in the same problem with shortages of Nurses etc.

Though I want to give a Shout Out to the Local VA as I think they have stepped up their game, I have been treated better than any of that supplementary Insurance they make you buy once you are on Medicare.
You are no longer allowed to purchase insurance at work with less than 20 full-time employees. Thus you have to buy one of those Old People ones you see advertised in late Oct and November.
