Brantley pulled with "right ankle soreness".
Jose is 3 for 3....three trips to the plate, three ground balls to Crawford. He has no clue about doing anything except trying to pull the ball.

Correa hits weak flyballs and hits into a DP. The other guy taps three weak balls to the SS and with two runners on in the 8th, reaches for the first pitch and pops up to RF. Neither have done shit today. |

Jose is never responsible for having bad AB's but gets all the praise when he has a great day. The only guys today who have done anything are Yuli and Chas. The rest haven't done shit.

Tucker's DP killed our chances of putting up multiple runs that inning. The best athlete on the team singled to right after the DP.

This series was a good test. The pitching has some work to do. They need to figure out what to do about the innings limits on the young pitchers and Urquidy’s injuries. If Urquidy comes back in September healthy and rested, that is a big boost for the rotation. He should have plenty left for the post season. We should be in good enough shape to afford to limit innings on young pitchers even though I don't put much stock in it. I haven't seen Verlander mentioned in a good while so I highly doubt he comes back this season. Poor pitch location is hurting Garcia and Greinke looks awful. That shoulder may be worse than they said. |
