Combined 4 hit shutout from Garcia, Stanek, Graveman, and Pressly. After Diaz' big double in the 8th to give us the 4-0 lead, I don't think I would have used Pressly in the 9th. I keep remembering how him doing it against the Rangers ended up costing us in the next series. The difference is we now have other options. This pen is entirely different since the deadline. If we keep getting what we are seeing from Stanek, Graveman, and Pressly, we will be in great shape if our starters can go six solid, which has been a problem for some, especially Odorizzi and Greinke.
Great to see some good AB's from Jose and it got him two hits on line drives up the middle. Three hits from Tucker, two from Chas and Diaz, and a 417 foot line drive home run from Yordan. Correa did draw a walk and scored on Diaz' double, but, he still looks horrible swinging the bat. He is back to taking center cut fastballs and getting behind in the count. Something I really liked was stolen bases from Kyle and Chas.

Bregman is only batting .108 in AAA. That's just about 20 points lower than he was hitting when he went on the IL. LOL Do you think it would help if they started banging on trash cans for him again? LOL

The more Chas raises the average, the more I like him.

The more Chas raises the average, the more I like him. I think the more he plays, the more he improves his OBP and the more confident he will get attempting steals. The ones he and Kyle stole tonight were not even close plays. His speed is said to be about equal to Straw, his defense should get there, and his power numbers are the reason we are better off with him over Straw. I didn't like the Straw trade, but, considering how awful our pen had been, I can understand them stockpiling relievers.

We care about batting average again? Why not? Just trying to keep up with you fickle fans.

Just trying to keep up with you fickle fans. I always did. It’s why I bitch about Altuve.
