I hope "Home run Jake" doesn't get us killed again. It will be interesting to see if Bregman has been activated and back in the lineup. If he is, I hope Dusty isn't batting him third this soon after his return.

This is not the news I was hoping to hear:
Bregman (quad) won’t be activated Tuesday. Astros manager Dusty Baker said during an appearance on SportsTalk 790 on Tuesday that Alex Bregman won’t he activated today. Baker expounded by saying he isn’t ready yet and will take a couple days off to get treatment. It’s also possible that he’ll go back out on a rehab assignment before returning. Baker estimates that it could be a week to 10 days before he is activated.

If he needs another rehab assignment, that pretty well sums it up. |

I hope you are right, but, I have seen several professional pitchers.....some who were veterans......put up horrible games back to back. When we moved to MMP, Jose Lima piled them up. |

I just see no need to put Bregman back in that spot when he returns because he was not producing there when he was injured. Put him down about six or seven for awhile. Glad to see Baez has been activated so we can get a look at him. I'm not glad to see Raley is still on the roster because Dusty will be tempted to bring him in with runners on base so he can allow the runners to score as he usually does. Why they keep him is a mystery. |

The batting order isn't as important as you make it out to be. The guys slotted to bat 7-8-9 get lots of RBI opportunities they can't take advantage of The 7-8-9 are great at leaving Tucker hanging. |

The news with Bregman is unfortunate. They keep acting like he’ll be ready soon but keep pushing back the goal date. The truth is they don't know when he will be ready and may have been lying about the seriousness of the injury. We need Yuli back worse than we need him. |

Fact is that Jake didn't contribute much to the offense except on rare occasions, and, Bregman wasn't contributing any more when he went on the IL. For some reason, anytime another player going bad is brought up, we always hear about "Jork" LOL LOL When there is no excuse to account for another guy's failure to produce, we can wait awhile and the name of "Jork" always comes up even though he doesn't have anything to do with the present team or situation. LOL LOL LOL |
