The Baez signing is sure looking like a bust at this time. I didn't see anything to make me think it was a good signing. His numbers were more than good enough to warrant signing him, but if he suddenly can't stay healthy it's all for nothing. |

Pedro Baez? He's actually been pretty good since finally coming back, and up to two more years on his contract after this one. He's already back on the IL. Ah, missed that. Too bad. Probably best to just shut him down until ST. |

Jose had a few good games and then suddenly went in the tank again... 0-8 in his last 8 ABs. He is back in pull mode again. If he would just concentrate on getting hits to all fields instead of home runs, his numbers would get better. He has not hit a home run this month. The 2-3 games when he didn't try to pull, he had one four hit game and a three hit game. I don't understand why he can't see that he is better when he isn't trying to pull all the time. |

Lance screws up and walks the 8 and 9 hitters to load the bases. Now, our brilliant manager brings in Javier with the bases loaded. Dusty will never learn not to bring in wild pitchers with runners on base. He brings him in to face Merrifield with the bases loaded. I hope we survive this move.

So glad Diaz is under contract for another year. We were talking about a Simmons or someone else as a Correa replacement, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them just ride with Bregman/Diaz on the left side for next year while Leon and Pena heal/develop.
