JAKE MEYERS! Nice job, kid.
Please don't start putting McCormick back in there when he gets off the IL.

Glad we won that. Didn’t think it would happen after the Whit grandslam.

5.0 game lead over Oakland, 6.0 over Seattle, neither of whom play tonight.

Great AB for Tucker to get the hit to right. They let him take second. Jake walks it off with a ground ball scoring Alex with the winning run.
This was a great game in several areas: 1. Two hits each for Bregman and Tucker in their first games back. Alex looks like his old self which is good news for the Astros and bad news for the rest of the AL. 3. The team overcomes another of Dusty's terrible pitching moves to come back and win. 3. Two hits for Jake Meyers plus the game winning ground ball in the 10th. Have I mentioned how much I like this kid? LOL When Chas returns, we have four solid outfielders and three others who can play out there.
The return of Alex Bregman is huge, especially if he keeps it going as he was today. I have to think he was hurting most of the season before he went on the IL. Having him and Tucker back in that lineup makes us solid 1-8 in the lineup.
We are 5 up and going to Arlington. The A's are hosting the Yankees for four this weekend.

Graveman did the job to give us a chance at a walk off. My computer turned off in the last inning. Could you please tell me who scored the game winning run?

This is where you walk Sal Perez so he doesn't cause damage. Nicky Lopez has to earn second base.

JAKE MEYERS! Nice job, kid. Please don't start putting McCormick back in there when he gets off the IL. Having Chas back lets them rest Michael and keep him fresh. We could see both Chas and Meyers in there at the same time like we did when Tucker was out. I would keep Meyers as my starter in CF.

Man, I’ve missed Bregman. Poetic justice for him to score the winner.

Meyers > Chas
I can’t stand that Beltre swing.

This win could be a big booster going forward. Astros will be playing a lot of games against sub-.500 teams between now and the end of the season. They need to know that they will have a fight on their hands every night, but if they come to the park prepared to play, they can beat anyone.

Breggie........who was the unearned runner on second. went to third on Tucker's single and scored on Jake's hard ground ball. You could have just asked instead of lying about your computer. LOL He looked today like he did before 2020. I think that leg had him hobbled a good while before he went on the IL. I think he plays a lot. but, they need to monitor him closely. If he keeps it up like he did today, the old Bregman is back and he is the guy I like. How about Dusty's brilliant move bringing in Javier? LOL

Let's keep our fingers crossed that we get the decent version of Odorizzi on Friday. I expect to see Urquidy next week.

Meyers > Chas I can’t stand that Beltre swing. Meyers looks better overall, but, Chas has exceeded expectations. I'd stick with Jake as the starter.

Some dang hard-hit outs today... If I have learned anything this season, it's that hard-hit outs don't mean shit. Saint has been preaching about it all season, and the hard hits never amounted to jack.

Uncle Mike gets a pinch single to tie.......Jose ends the inning with another weak flyball. I just can’t with Altuve’s at bats right now. Or ever.

Are you enjoying the Gattis swings? Those swings at pitches thrown into the opposite batters box are HOF swings. Just ask Biggio and Bagwell.

Are you enjoying the Gattis swings? Of course you're still hung up on Gattis who hasn't played since Corch's first heart attack.

This Meyers kid came out of nowhere...He was even a lesser none name than Chas... I had never heard of him until we started seeing olpapa's reports on him from Sugar Land. He looks very comfortable playing at this level. Both of them, plus the emergence of Taylor Jones, have been pleasant surprises. Sometimes having injuries helps you find some talent you didn't realize you had or was ready to play at this level.

This Meyers kid came out of nowhere...He was even a lesser none name than Chas... He was definitely a sleeper, but his glove and running has always been significantly better than Chas. The question was the bat, until he broke out this year.
