Dusty is saving him for pressure situations.

Altuve and Correa looking great, but Tuckers the team MVP. I second that. I have thought that for awhile now.

Altuve and Correa looking great, but Tuckers the team MVP. No, it’s still Springer. Ask Corch. He was while he was here. I said Tucker was the team MVP over a month ago. Since George has spent so much time on the IL, I don't mind him being gone. Springer being in Toronto has allowed us to find Meyers, and, to some extent, McCormick. When this team hits as they are capable, they are very hard to beat. We have a chance to basically put Seattle away this week.

Lance is now 11-4 with a 3.19 ERA. Good work by Bielak too.

I don’t disagree that Tucker and Correa have been the MVPs so far this year. However, I am surprised how little love Yordan gets here. He can be frustrating at times but he is only 24 and has stayed healthy most of the season. He also is batting .281 which is not shabby and higher than Altuve and Correa. Plus he leads the team in both RBIs and HRs.

With his knee problems he is never going to be a star defensive player. Although he did make a fine throw to get the runner out at second last night. He will only ever be a DH who plays the outfield at times.

Trading Teoscar is proving to have been a bad move.

unionstation82 is really the only one who actively complains about Yordan, but he complains about everyone. The better he gets in the outfield, the more I’ll like him. He has no business being in the OF unless it's an emergency. If they think Correa will be gone, they may want to teach Yordan to play first base, move Yuli to third base (his natural position), and, Bregman to SS which is his natural position. We'd still have Diaz as utility man. Of course, I am still hopng to re-sign Correa. There is NO available replacement for what he brings to this team. The main thing that is irritating about Yordan is he often takes pitches he should hammer and then strike out on pitches out of the zone. Last night, he took a fastball for a third called strike with the bases loaded and two outs.

(Unless he gets back to the 1.000+ OPS.)

There's not a clear choice for team MVP this year. Correa, Yuli, Tucker & Yordan are all having comparable seasons at the plate. My sentimental vote would go to McCullers. He's hit career highs in ERA+ and IP this season, and it's been like pulling teeth to get him to do that

Hell, a few of them have been doing that.

I believe Correa is the clear MVP of the team this year, so far. A lot can happen in the final month, but what Correa has done on the defensive side of things even when slumping has been amazing.

Even when Correa slumped, his defense remained outstanding. Most of that slump came after they put him in "health and safety protocols". Carlos said he "TESTED NEGATIVE" for COVID 19, but, went to the ER because he was very sick. He did not have COVID.

Also was arguably the MVP of their 2020 postseason (Altuve was damn good too). We were all waiting to see if it would carry over and it did.
