Won a series against the only team better than us and clinched the division with a few games to prepare and rest for the White Sox.
Couldn't ask for much more than that given the up and down season. Hopefully they'll be the dominant postseason team again this year.

This series had a playoff atmosphere, especially tonight. Great pitching from Lance and the pen. Big three run bomb by Carlos who keeps getting it done in the clutch at the plate and at SS.
Now, win tomorrow to secure the #2 seed......rest players and set your rotation. I hope it's McCullers in game one and Valdez in game 2 against the White Sox.

Yankee's win securing the #1 spot for Wild Card. Both Boston and Blue Jays lost letting Seattle room to sneak in If the Blue Jays can't get the second wild card, I want the Mariners to get it. |

If the Blue Jays can't get the second wild card, I want the Mariners to get it. Mariners fans are awful, flaming liberals. Much rather see their playoff drought continue, personally. Yankee fans are the worst. Those clowns and Red Sox fans are all liberals, too. I was pulling for the Blue Jays because of Cavan Biggio, George, and Teoscar. I had rather see any of them but the damn Yankees make it. |

The Rays are a wonderfully coached team that play to their absolute best. They have nothing to lose so they have tons of confidence.
They seem to consistently make the right plays at the right time.
I think we're the only team that can beat them, and if we do, it will be because our offense lives up to the hype.

If Astros clinch #2, Urquidy should pitch 3 innings....like a schedule off day game....let the scrubbier of the pen finish out the game I expect them to let Framber go five tonight anyway. That idea for Urquidy sounds good. We can always do what Saint mentioned and use Bielak and Javier to start or at least reliever after 3-4 innings. |

Does anyone know what the plan is for Javier? I can’t figure out when or how they’ll use him. I don't think we know what Dusty will do with him. My guess is he stays in the pen. I hope they don't carry more than 12 pitchers. |
