We replaced McCormick with Meyers? Why....? Isn't Jakes defense better than Chaz. Yes there is a 5 run lead it just why not have the best defense on the field. |

Hadn't been following it, I was shocked to learn how awful Kimbrel had been after the trade. Remember that they gave up six years of Nick Madrigal, a 24-year-old second baseman with a 70 hit tool, for 1.5 years of Kimbrel. Absolute robbery by the Cubs.

Yep. Dusty's move looks OK. With Myers and Chas we did not need Straw. Both of them are better than Straw. Maton has done a good job in these two games. |

Kudo to Jose Altuve. I have never seen an infielder have a better game than the one he had today. Three outstanding plays. He is the MVP of the game.
I hated the move bringing Graveman in to pitch the 9th. He started looking like he did yesterday. But, after the long AB for Roberts when he got him out on the ground ball to Carlos, it seemed like that put extra life on his fastball. He blew Abreu away before getting Grandal on the foul pop that Kyle made the good play on to end the game.
How many times will you see Brantley strike out three times in a game that we win? Not many. Big clutch hits from Yordan and Carlos plus the home run from Tucker that broke it open. Have to give Chas credit for having a good game like Jake did yesterday, His sac fly gave us an early lead. Outstanding team defense led by Jose.
Breggie fan, you boy Breggie went 2-3. Good to see him pitch in.LOL
