His May predictions for the Astros is already getting close to kaboom. You need to randomly update him on that.

Feels good to be back home again at the top.
Don't give ole Churchill to much grief it is hard backing a team that wins so infrequently. You guys remember right. It was a looooooooong time ago but I still remember.

What ever happened to Ace of Diamonds? Same guy. I think he just changed to hide from the wrath of catfish. I remember after it was announced that the Astros were moving to the AL West (but before the move actually occurred) that Ace harassed us telling us how LAA was going to beat up on Houston. I don’t think the Angels have had a .500 record against the Astros in any year since the ‘stros joined the AL West..., and that includes 2013 when Houston lost 111 games.

This is a solid get. Dubon can play 2B, 3B, SS, and CF, and he's actually solid at all of them, and he's a passable hitter as well (was expected to be a plus hitter as a prospect, never really got a full-time look but has had some success in partial playing time). Meanwhile Papierski is one of many decent-but-not-great catching prospects we have, and will almost certainly never be more than an MLB backup.

So with Dubon joining the team in DC tonight, what will be the corresponding move(s) the team makes to create space for him on the 40-man and active rosters.

Having said that it hardly seems like something I would highlight. Kind of brings home the point that the Angels have wasted a lot of good years for Mr Trout. Honestly I like the fact that the Angels are playing well and have some starters that are actually doing very well. But before you get overly excited you should take into consideration that none of your starters would be good bets to get close to 150 innings. I would break all that down in detail but it would be cruel and would serve no purpose. What is worse is after those top 5, who are doing very well right now, there is an empty ship. Enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Interestingly enough, both Diaz and Goodrum are in the lineup tonight. Might be something of an audition. It really should be Goodrum getting cut though. Just eat the remaining $1.5-ish million that he's owed.

If I understand the option rules correctly, Niko cannot refuse an option to the minors. McCormick and Siri have options remaining and less than 5 years MLB service time. Dubon plays a decent CF, I hear. Dubon has no options remaining so he is going to be added to the active roster. It would seem that one of Goodrum, McCormick or Siri will be optioned to the minors or traded before today’s game. Gotta be Goodrum optioned methinks.

Leon is heating up at Sugar Land. He’s 8-18 with 3 home runs over his last 4 games to bring his batting average up to .341 and his OPS up to 1.318 for the month of May. If he continues at this rate he will be in Houston in a month or so. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Chas or Siri traded soon.

I could see Chad or Siri being traded away to a losing team with aging, relatively expensive OF. Anyone in mind?

I would think they would be getting a veteran OF to make a run for this season.....but if Chas or Siri could be in a packaged deal to get Wilson Contreras, I would all be for that move.
