Cole vs. Suarez
Hopefully the Astros can pick up a couple easy wins here, but this feels like a series where the bats might get a little lackadaisical. Would be nice to see a 5th consecutive series win before we head off on a difficult road trip.
The Angels have fallen off to 3.5 games behind, but Seattle is managing to stick around despite the loss of Cano.
After the off day we still have the 3rd best winning percentage in baseball, and the highest run differential at +98 (Yankees 2nd at +81).
Our top-5 WAR players are (in order):
1. Verlander 2.8 2. Cole 2.1 3. Correa 2.0 4. Altuve 1.8 5. Morton/Springer 1.5

If this offense can improve from 10th or 11th best to 5th best in MLB, the Astros will be an awesome opponent to face.

This season the Astros’ offense is like the Yankees in last year’s ALCS Game 7.

Different story this season they have Frazier and Bird down in Scranton waiting in the wings. Why is Frazier at Scranton? Rehab? He had a concussion in spring training, he is actually a go and could be called up, but no room at the inn. Bird had that re-occurring ankle problem, and I am sure they would accommodate him. Their system is just loaded and back logged just like the Stros, but probably deeper. Then Drury who they traded for over the winter goes does with migraines, and loses his job to Andujar, they don't lose a beat.

If our offense becomes close to what it was last uear combined with our starting pitching, we can win more games than we did last year.....

Hey maybe we can trade for Lowrie from the A's. Utility guy, great bat, last year of his contract.

Lowrie would be a great addition and we have the means to make the trade by using guys who are blocked from making the Astros.

A's are 2 1/2 back of the 2nd wildcard at the moment and Lowrie's their best hitter. Doesn't look realistic unless they take a plunge over the next 6 weeks

This baseball withdrawal thing is no fun. We have to wait 4 more hours for Astros baseball still? Seriously?

I haven't seen a lineup anywhere yet, but I hope Davis is getting a start.

That's quite a feat to pass Doggie. He came on like gangbusters.
I bet he still has you beat in word count though. Dude is loquacious.

I want to see a big game from one of our core. Altuve, Bregman, or Correa are each due for a big explosion.
