I'd love to pick up Burleson, ideal replacement for Brantley next year (or this one). I really doubt Odorizzi doesn't have that much value though. St. Louis honestly has a pretty solid farm, plenty of talent there to try to get someone. |

Reminds me of when Luhnow first arrived and actually managed to get multiple prospects back for the husk of Carlos Lee. I'm sure Nathan is going to work out a deal where we get Goldschmidt for Odorizzi, Siri and Maton..... But if the Astros are actually going to be wanting a major league player, not a prospect, who are on their team would the Astros be targeting? Genesis Cabrera, LH reliever? Seems like a Click target. Would the Cardinals actually give him up for Odirizzi? Zach Thompson, another LH reliever? |

Can I help Odorizzi pack? Good riddance to Odorizzi. The only thing I'm fearful of is that Odorizzi will come out and say damaging stuff about the Astros, like Mike Fiers did. Like Fiers, he is an emotional DB, who is vocal and points fingers elsewhere. |

I was thinking a corn field, where Odorizzi is taken to....And there he sees another car with Fiers and other people....And then don't see the baseball bats come out behind them. Actually, I just watched that movie scene. It's a horrible, gruesome scene. Very disturbing. FTR - I wouldn't wish that on Fiers or Odorizzi, just fly them out to that stranded island where Tom Hanks and Mr. Wilson were chilling. |
