Walking as struggling hitter to load the bases and bring up the reigning Player of the Month who is a walk machine and one of the toughest grinders at the plate was...interesting. Nice to have the head-slapping management coming from the other dugout for a change. First base wasn’t even open and there were two outs. No matter how you look at it, the Rangers played themselves into a loss.

Thankfully the Rangers coaching staff is inept and gifted us a win.
I am worried about this team in the playoffs if the offense doesn’t get going. We know the pitching is great and will generally be able to hold the other team to 3-4 runs if not less. We need to be scoring around 5+ runs a game if we want to make the World Series again.

I share your concern about the Astros offense. For the Astros to be successful in the playoffs Yordan must return to his pre-August production. Dusty should be using the rest of the regular season games looking for a better hitting option to start at first base. Yuli should be coming off the bench. Hensley should be getting more playing time and Dubon should be getting less. Enough with the Chas on the bench while Dubon starts in CF.

I agree ..Yuli should be resting, working with the trainers on his hand strength. I don't want to see him anymore in LF for the regular season

I don't think anything changes with Yuli at 1B for the postseason so I'm not even going to bother wishing for otherwise. I'm just hoping that maybe Yuli will look at the postseason as sort of a fresh start and a chance to redeem himself and earn another contract past this year. I have faith that Yordan will get hot again. We have a lineup that I think will perform well if they stick with it:
Altuve 2B (157 OPS+) Pena SS (95 OPS+ - But good when hitting 2nd.) Yordan DH (176 OPS+ Bregman 3B (141 OPS+) Tucker RF (131 OPS+) Mancini LF (109 OPS+) Vazquez C (103 OPS+) McCormick CF (108 OPS+) Gurriel 1B (85 OPS+)
That lineup will score runs if Dusty stops shuffling people around. That's an average OPS+ of 122 per player (better if you consider Pena's numbers while hitting 2nd).

Chas is our best option as the CF and Dusty needs to quit screwing with him. He can’t get in to a rhythm if he is playing 2-3 a week.

Good thing Will Harris isn’t on the team or else I’d be more worried.

I just really hope we go in another direction after this season.

I don't think Dusty likes Chas very much. I remember in Saturday's game against the Angels, Mike Ford flied out to center and Chas threw to third after Rengifo tagged, allowing Tyler Ward to advance to second. Dusty gave him an icy stare that lasted for the rest of the inning

He also said Chas had a disappointing Spring Training once, doghouse. So, yeah I agree that Dusty doesn’t care much for Chas.
