The regulars picked Altuve up and the pitchers picked Verlander up. Sometimes I think the players manage the team Sometimes you wonder if Dusty is just there for the ride, this team keeps losing the superstars and they keep winning. I give Dusty credit for pacing the dugout and saying positive vibes no bad karma when we're behind. I still believe in that shit

It looked like JV ran to the field from the clubhouse for the celebration.

Just got home.... I think we high-fived about half the people in the stadium.... We were in right field and the ball went just the left of us and over... Outstanding game

Adam McKay must've been a big Angels fan to name Michael Keaton's character Gene Mauch in The Other Guys

This is up there in all time playoff games! From a pure heart stopping perspective..... 1. Today's Game 2. Game 5 of 2017 WS where we won 13-12 in 10 innings 3. 1986 NLCS Game 6 vs. Mets

Last night was money well spent. One of the best games I've ever been to. They were only a few Mariners' fans that I saw. I got to talk to a couple of them. I asked the same question to all of them, are you Olpapa? No one said yes. But one of them did say, isn't he the guy from Houston that comes to our pride parades? The one that plays it off that he was lost. media.tenor.com/772H1DYm-yQAAAAM/the-blue-oyster-police-academy.gif

Big props also:
1. Bregman - He has had his moments in the postseason, but overall he's been fairly underwhelming in October. That HR off of Munoz was a monster though. 2. Team Defense & Baserunning - Spotless defense and baserunning last night. Zero mistake baseball. 3. Brown - Is there a pitching role this guy can't succeed in? 4. Montero - The overlooked part of the Graveman trade. What a move by Click. 5. Gurriel - Like Bregman, not a great postseason performer compared to some of our guys, but he showed up big and looked motivated. He has a chance to re-write the narrative of his 2022 season.

My wife, my daughter and I were traveling the south rim of Grand Canyon from the east entrance to the south entrance. I was wearing my Astros cap. I checked in on gameday from time to time to see how the game was going. We ran into several Astros fans at the various scenic overlooks that we stopped at along the way. When we arrived at the last scenic overlook near the south entrance the Astros were trailing 7-3. I spoke to several Astros fans there. By the time we left that scenic overlook the Astros had closed the gap to 7-5 and were headed into the 9th inning. We left that overlook and drove over to the general store near the south entrance to the rim. This took about 5 minutes. My wife and daughter went inside the store to shop for souvenirs and I sat down outside the store. While they were inside shopping I was following the game on gameday when Yordan hit his walkoff home run. There was a woman sitting nearby and I struck up a conversation with her. She told me that she was from Phoenix and that she had relatives with her who were visiting from Washington state. We had been conversing for about 5 minutes when one of her relatives came out of the store. It was a man wearing a Seattle Mariners cap. From the look on his face I could tell that he was aware of how the game turned out. There we were in a face off…., me wearing my Astros cap and he wearing his Mariners cap. Neither of us mentioned the game. Kind of a funny moment for me. Not so much for him I suspect.

Your team is playing and they start the game off on fire. Things are looking great. You go into the 8th inning with your two best relievers ready to go and a good 4-run lead. And then just like that it's over and you lost. Day ruined.

He then walks out of the room towards the canyon. The end.

Adam McKay must've been a big Angels fan to name Michael Keaton's character Gene Mauch in The Other Guys I observed Gene a lot when he was skipper of the Phils. He always held a even keel and never got rattled whatever the game situation was. I will be out of town tomorrow and will have to listen to the game on Sirius. I hope to watch a replay of a win. Man do I want the Phillies to upset the Braves. I've hated Atlanta for 30 years. When they upset them in '93 with Kruk and Dykstra I was joyous. Even though I can't stand those guys either

I'm not certain that my coronary arteries can handle much of this. The only other time this happened when a postseason team was behind and down to their last out was Kirk Gibson's homer in the 1988 World Series. That's pretty effin special

I am with you there getting the Braves knocked out. They ruined the playoff careers of Bige and Bags.
