Man I just had to pull in to the first parking lot I saw. Beam me up Scotty!!! I totally did not know Reggie Jackson's been a special assistant to the front office since last season. This is like when we had Yogi Berra in the organization

My wife, my daughter and I are exploring national parks in the Phoenix area today. So I won’t be watching today’s game. Will keep up with the game on gameday again today. Will be flying home during Saturday’s game. So I won’t be watching it either. Hoping the first playoff game I get to watch will be ALCS game #1. If you have tomorrow open and are looking for something with a lot of long distance views and great color drive up through Payson and go up to the top of the rim. There is a great spot there to look out over the Mogollon rim. You can see for 70-80 miles. Then drive through a town called Show Low and go through the Salt River Canyon. Then on to Globe and a quick turn off to see Roosevelt Lake. Then on back through Queen Creek and Apache junction and back into Phoenix through Mesa and Tempe. 300 miles or so of driving but great scenery every mile.

Stop with this crud. What is that like 8 walks? Great game, but we got to be concerned especially with the pen throwing strikes. Stuff like that drives me crazy.

Got up this morning and drove to the Tonto National Monument via 260/87/188 through Payson. Just awesome landscape all along the way. Did see Lake Teddy Roosevelt. It is beautiful. Climbed the 1/2 mile trail up to the lower cliff dwelling at Tonto National Monument. Headed south via Apache Trail to Highway 60 and headed west to Phoenix. We have tickets to the Surprise Saguaros game tomorrow. Hoping to see some of the Astros prospects in action.

I didn't know of any connection. When Yogi worked for the Stros wasn't he a personal friend of McMullen, so that was the connection.

He didn't get a hit, but Hensley continues to have good ABs. He doesn't swing at stuff out of the zone, but doesn't look at strike threes either. I just read that Hensley trains in the off-season with Navy Seals. Impressive kid!

One of life's greatest simple pleasures is to pull a couple bass from that lake, prep them, cook them and eat them by a camp fire while watching a sunset there at that lake. My wife is from Arizona and I graduated from Arizona State University. I know all of that area well. it is truly amazing in the summer to go from the heat of Phoenix at around 115 degrees and drive up through Payson and on up to the rim and have to put on a wind breaker to keep the chill at bay. And do that in less than two hours. Amazing area.

P.S. We have to admit that Dusty pulled all the right strings again with his pitching changes/decisions.
Although I am curious why we haven't seen Stanek in either of these games.

He seems to be in Dusty’s doghouse for some reason. He’s not much for attacking the zone like Montero, but Dusty values Rafael’s closing experience.

I wouldn't use him with many runners on base since his control is suspect sometimes, but otherwise he has done a great job.

Fair enough. I trust him more than Will Harris.
