New news Astros are gonna bring in some analytics peeps soon Expect the Astros be heavy traders come this offseason. Brown is pushing some of the transitional players out who might be better suited for a more hands on type of coaching. Which in fact will make the Astros in the comming draft take more riskier players.
The Astros will be trying to fill some big holes in trades that could set up our Minor leagues in the mid to upper levels.

But nothing that is significant. Blocked players seems like the way to go. But again not sure.

It's like they are going to do what they did in Atlanta. Stock there minor leagues with future talent people in A or AA going forward and when draft time comes the people who are high risk players they are gonna gamble on them

There is still an issue and It's Dusty Baker. He isn't playing the guys who hit better or defensively better. This very well could be his last season. Apparently there is a small rift with Baker and some management about playing certain players

It would be a toss up of what team has spent more dead money the Angels or Yankees. It has to be the Angels. They are the biggest idiots in MLB. Hamilton, Pujols, Trout, Rendon..... That would be a good research project between the two teams. With the Angels you can go back as far as Josh Hamilton.

Soooo, what do the Astros do when Brantley does come back, assuming of course that his shoulder doesn’t fall off his body between now and then? LF, DH, maybe 1b? I think Meyers days could be numbered. Personally I see Brantley in LF and Chaz in CF. I think I’d also slot him back into the two hole. Altuve-Brantley-Alvarez-Tucker-Bregman-Chas-Diaz-whoever’s at 1b-Peña. But there’s no way Dusty does 3 leftys in a row and maybe he shouldn’t.

I think they should look at Cole Tucker. Might be a decent add for infielder help

We've seen it before.

If anything, that’ll be less of Chas and Yainer.

So Tucker is 6 HRs and 6 SBs from being our first 30/30 player since Bagwell in 1999 (when he should have won his 2nd MVP award). He's also on pace for 120+ RBI. However, since Ohtani is Ohtani Tucker will likely finish 2nd in MVP voting the same way Bagwell did.

Bregman should’ve won in ‘19, but evidently Trout taking his customary early vacations doesn’t matter.

Tucker was MVP-worthy in 2021 as well. I would've voted for him

Their back in the race but struggling to protect leads I’m not saying he’s like these other guys, but it’s always suspect when good teams get rid of a good player while trying to contend. Billy Wagner and José Canseco come to mind.

Maybe they're trying to roil the fan base
