I have to believe that Abreu will get hot and turn it around unless he is hurt. Even if the power truly is gone, the AVG and OBP decline is strange. But yes, if Abreu doesn't turn it around fairly soon, this will indeed be a large black eye for Brown. Especially if the offense continues to be inconsistent. Not necessarily. We know Crane makes the orders on whom to acquire. Abreu might not have even been Brown’s call.

I meant more that Brown didn't do more to help the offense other than just Abreu.

Not Abreu specifically.

Thank goodness for Dubón’s current hot streak because missing out on Segura and Profar would’ve been worse.

If the team doesn't perform in the first year that Brown takes over as GM, it'll look bad for both Brown and Crane (and Bagwell some as well, I suppose, even though his role is very confusing). The question that will be asked, right or wrong, is if the team can win without Luhnow and Click. And Crane not even really trying to keep Click will definitely be a factor in that. I don't believe it will be either of their faults necessarily, but it will still look bad.
I still say that they built a strong team that will ultimately end up successful. However, if the team fails to reach the postseason right after basically letting their previous GM walk away after winning a WS, it will have a very bad appearance for Brown and Crane.

Do Tucker and/or Framber WANT to stay in Houston? Will Crane agree to a contract length/sum if Brown were to work out an agreement?

I just would care if he did it.
