I wish I could say I was happy about winning. Realistically that record should have been 19-8 (should have won a game against the Mariners and the first game against the Twins). If I'm trying to be more optimistic, 17-10 is a pretty good month and translates to approximately a 100 win season. Yeah. The realistic way to look at it is if this team can go 17-10 with their offense still not at full strength and wildly inconsistent, there is real reason for hope. But it's so hard to listen to the brain when the heart is so dismayed by defeat being snatched from the jaws of victory multiple times. |
