OK sure, Keuchel is 0-2 with 4.5 ERA. Angels have most runs, most RBIs, highest BA, highest SLG, highest OPS, most HRs, and largest differential in baseball, with possible the best defense in baseball and Trout is slumping so far. Hope you are here in September to give us an update. While you are at it, why don't you go on record and say that Angels are better than the Astros. I love the smell of smoking trolls in the morning. So far so good. You have underestimated the Angels.

The Angels cannot maintain this pace. They will battle Seattle for second place in the division.

Angels will continue to rack up some easy wins vs Royals this week but then their schedule gets a lot tougher. Also, they just don't have the depth that will be needed later in the season for injury replacements. Astros will distance themselves from LAA in the second half of the season.

That's the plan...hopefully we can find those lost in the diaspora and get everyone here. Holy Cow!!! I signed up at Clutch Fans during the time we were all trying to locate each other. Shortly after signing up there I created a thread on that board looking for refugees from the wiped out Astros.com board. I had not checked in on that thread in about a week. I checked in just now and low and behold OMB posted to me on that thread last Monday. He joined that board last Sunday night. He has been looking for us and asked me if I knew where the old gang is. I know it must be our OMB because his profile indicates that his birthday is 9/11/1936. Anyway, I responded back to his post and provided him the link to this board. I just hope he hasn’t given up on getting a response from me since it has been 2 days since he last visited that board. Hopefully he will check the thread at Clutch Fans again, get the link to this board and join us here.

Great to see the Old familiar Handles that always expressed variable informative opinions that IMO made the old now defunct MLB board fun to view over the years. Hopefully this board will remain intact for years to come for all us Stros Fans. Regards to All

A side Benefit/horror is letting a few of us old timers who were banned out of that board for various reasons are back.
If we can keep it about baseball, I should be safe to stick around this time.

There probably won't be very many bannings around here, based on the theory that most of us know how to socialize without being a twat. Having said that: trolls won't make it very far here. We won't have anyone impeding our enjoyment of the world champion Houston Astros.

Your age is showing. Lots of folks running around who have no idea who Charlie Rich is, mostly those behind closed doors.

I remember going to dirt track stock car races in the 70s (my dad had a modified stock car), and hearing the Silver Fox playing over the PA. (Mt. Selman, TX)

I remember going to dirt track stock car races in the 70s (my dad had a modified stock car), and hearing the Silver Fox playing over the PA. (Mt. Selman, TX) Those races are still popular in my area. On a clear hot summer night I can hear the racing from my home several miles away.

If I have enough adult beverages I can sing and sound just like Charley Pride. At least to me I sound like him.

But I still sing like Charlie Pride...when surrounded by folks who really know how to sing. Actually, and this is real, I'm scheduled to sing with such a group (Singing Men of Texas) in Carnegie Hall on October 13.

Pretty sure it was the same as i listed here, but could be wrong since age is a factor on the memory. I was a member on the old Astros board since around 2006 but probably didnt post over 300 threads but always enjoyed all the Rhetoric & BS ! Regards to All !

I think Bortaz et.al. have been pretty successful in rounding up close to 90% of the routine MLB posters at the old board. One truly positive change are the trolls (lack of). As bad as I hate to admit it, I get readily baited into brawls (esp.flub trolls). Much more relaxed over here.

Now that song, I remember. i also remember everyone trying to sing it. I think it also created a few discussions about whether it was POP or Country in an era where that was important.
