And Abreu is actively killing us.

Well Crane, you played GM this offseason and lost big time, nearly $100M. About $60M to Abreu and $35M to Montero. Of course, Abreu signing seemed great at that time, but everyone besides your brainless trust knew Montero’s contract was foolish…:. Here is to hoping Abreu can get it together, but his swing says differently.

And Abreu is actively killing us. That pitcher took about 4 seconds to pick up the grounder and still threw him out. That was enough for me to see.

Dusty said Altuve left the game as a precaution because he was feeling sick. If true, that is good news that it isn’t injury related.

It was nice of the Astros organization to keep the 2017 trashcan around. They even let him pitch out of the bullpen and gave him a 3 year deal this offseason. I just didn’t understand how they had Abreu, Neris, and Pressly in the bullpen who are clearly better, and they felt the need to prioritize getting this dude back. It’s unbelievable, especially for an owner who’s afraid of wasting money. They’re spending $14.5 million a year on their 4th best reliever. I would say even 5th best. Maton has been elite and much better than Montero this season.

Meyers is on fire with the bat and is an elite defensive CF...and he was on the bench.
Julks is a mediocre hitter and not a CF, so he's in left...oh no wait, he's DHing. Our clunky-running elite bat who we need to be protecting for the future and has a history of knee problems, he's out in LF risking injury instead of DHing.
Dusty is just...

Just skimmed your message. I see you were talking about last year. If we are talking this year, he has to be our worst reliever, right? I mean Maton, Martinez, and Stanek have all been better.

A great players’ coach……that is by far his strength…..albeit his weakness too, because it gets in the way of sound lineup strategy.

Why’s that? (Pulls up a chair.) It's a fair point. You could say the same about Click, but Crane didn't resign him..
