I could ask the same of everyone with Crane. I think most people here are not Crane enthusiasts. I like him because he is the owner who brought us all the success. However he has made some very iffy decisions, Montero signing, bringing Dusty back, letting Click go, etc… I think people who hate Crane must have forgotten about Drayton McLane. My word what an upgrade. I think Crane felt betrayed by Hinch, maybe Luhnow, and the media criticism finally got to him and he started listening to the wrong people. Maybe the Abreu and Montero situation will wake him back up.

I was never a fan of the Dusty hire and have repeatedly bashed his use of Maldonado. I just don’t think that he’s responsible for every mishap this team engages in on a regular basis like a lot of fans believe. Do you think Dusty should’ve been rehired?

Crane has, in my opinion, been fantastic until this mishandling of Click during the off-season. He has made great hires for what we needed since his ownership began.
But.
After Dusty won his ring, Click should have been extended and Dusty should have retired (or been retired). Brown may or may not workout, but Click did a fine job replacing Luhnow.
Crane tried to do things on his own without a GM and that has not worked out. He's also given Dusty too much control/influence now. I'm willing to give Crane the benefit of the doubt still since he has helped cultivate so much success.
But.
There needs to be some manager changes this off-season, and Crane needs to back out more and let Brown do his job.

If I were an overrated manager whose team won in spite of me, why would I be asked to come back?
