Another expected pitcher's duel. But we saw yesterday that we don't always get what we expect.

Price usually bends but doesn’t break against Houston. Hope they rock his ass tonight.

Astros are 5-4 against Cleveland NY and Boston in the 9 games. Two more to go. Then Seattle with Paxton pitching Tuesday.

Verlander vs. Price 37-22. Take game 3! I was looking at Price’s player page on mlb.com and saw this: “David Taylor Price Nickname: Astro's Dad” So he is the Astros dad. I wonder how many of our players are aware of this nickname. If that wouldn’t motivate our guys, I don’t know what would.

Ditto.........AJ gave both of those games away

Pythagorean Wins and all that aside, I get the general impression that if the Astros are playing to their full potential, they can/should be winning 2/3 of their games. With some luck and perhaps some setbacks for opponents (injuries and the like), maybe the Astros could win 3/4 of their games for a while.
Right now, the difference between being a .620 team and a .667 team are those wins that have been given away by poor bullpen management, suboptimal lineups, and silly baserunning mistakes. I really would like to see the Astros stop making those needless mistakes and win at least 2/3 of their games in June.

I really would like to see the Astros stop making those needless mistakes and win at least 2/3 of their games in June. The difference in opponent quality alone will get us there barring an injury bug. I hinestly would be disappointed if we don't win at least 2/3rds of our games in June. I expect 3/4 with at least one 10+ game winning streak.
As luck would have it, our next four games will be the toughest of the month. Verlander and Morton could easily get wins. The toughest games will be McCullers and Keuchel against the Mariners. It's just poor timing that our worst pitchers are facing our closest division rivals.
But just think about those two being our worst. Either would be a 1 or 2 on the majority of teams.

The Astros come into tonight's game with the lowest number of errors in MLB and the highest fielding pct. Just one more reason the team should have a great month of June.

That is what I keep on telling my Yankee buddies, brag now, all those games were winnable, granted they took advantage of the breaks, props to them. Next time in October it could be different.

No, he literally has a dog named Astro. Like from the Jetsons. Oh. Ok. Still interesting though. Maybe he named it after the Astros condescendingly.

Gattis is up to a 112 OPS+. During the even number years of his career he has an .800+ OPS....and it's 2018.

Poor Gattis is a very humble guy. In the postgame interview, he told the guys in response to questions about his recent power surge that he usually only hits at a max of .250 so he’s got to make the most of it to help the team.

Dustin Pedroia's back on the DL. I wonder if Dombrowski regrets DFAing Hanley

I like Gattis. I'll admit at the beginning of the year he was frustrating me and I thought maybe he lost it. Glad he has turned it around and has become one of our more clutch hitters lately.

It’s almost like the AL playoffs are set. Boston, NY, Cleveland, Houston and possibly Seattle.

If he will check his playoff stats, he will see that he hasn't been anybody's dad.

Odor doing Odor things against the Angels. Anybody see the slide?
I didn't think Rizzo's was that bad, but this one was pretty blatant.
