70-55 | 2.5 Games Back
Paxton vs. Javier
Team OPS+: 104
Team ERA+: 111
As rough as that series was, we didn't lose any ground on the main goal for the regular season, fortunately. We're still only 2.5 games back of the Rangers for the division. Yes, the Mariners are literally right behind us, but it's still our division to lose, imo. They need to figure it out fast though. We can't continue to be sloppy in all aspects of the game and expect to win anything.
We need the players that can hit to start hitting, and we need the players that can't hit to show their defensive value. And I don't know what the f*ck has happened to our starting pitcher, but it won't matter if we make the playoffs if they can't right the ship on their end.
The literal only positive aspect right now (outside of Altuve and Diaz), is that Montero seems to have been fixed. Get Brantley up here, put together our best lineup consistently, and win the next 8 out of 10 games.

No other of our hitters have faced Paxton

Trying to bring in fresher arms is all it is.
I'll say this for Dusty... given the trouble from the starting pitchers (which isn't his fault), I have to admit that I think he has done an adequate job recently juggling pitching changes and work loads. And his being patient with Montero has seemingly paid off, at least recently.
