So some good things:
Bregman: OPS+ is now up to 120 (meaning 20% above average). He's up to hitting .261 with an .803 OPS. For all attention Tucker is getting as an MVP candidate, Bregman is actually right behind him from a WAR standpoint. He's having an under-the-radar good all-around season. Over the last month he is hitting .293/.906 and .327/1.089 for the last two weeks.
Pena: OPS+ is up to 93 (still below average, but he has actually gotten his OBP up to .320. His walk rate is better than last year as are his strikeouts. His HR power is what is keeping him from an average to little above-average offensive year. He's heating up at the right time though, just like last year.
Diaz: 19 HR 48 RBI in only 86 Games. He's hitting .284/.304/.537 (.841 OPS 125 OPS+) while playing a very solid catcher position. He won't win the ROY, but he should be a top-5 finisher if he continues to finish strongly. It shows thats we continue to churn out productive quality rookies despite our "lowly-ranked farm system". (Not even counting France and Brown, our other solid contributing rookies.)
Altuve: While his defense has gotten down right awful, his offense continues to be elite. Despite cooling off some, he's now at: .314/.409/.500 (.909 OPS 149 OPS+) plus 13/15 in SB. It would be nice to see his power heat back up some, but it's hard to argue with the overall production. Something will need to happen about his defense sooner rather than later though. I don't know if it's some type of hybrid DH/2B role, but, even though his error total is adequate, his range and ability to finish plays as very low.
Tucker: Not much to say. He's having an amazing offensive all-around season with the run production and baserunning. If only his defense hadn't kind of cratered this year, he'd be making a really strong case to potentially catch up to Ohtani. He's on pace to be a 30/30 player with 120 RBI and an almost .900 OPS.
Chas: 20/20 potential as we approach the last 1/5th of the season with maybe 70 RBI and an .850+ OPS. All while playing very respectable defense overall in the OF.
Yordan: Showing some signs of life since the jammed thumb, he is 4/11 with a BB and 4 RBI over his last two games. A strong finish could have him right at about 100 RBI again with 25+ HR despite missing a quarter of the season.

Can’t wait for Yainer and Chas to get 20 bombs apiece.

Can’t wait for Yainer and Chas to get 20 bombs apiece. Add in a 10th HR for Altuve and maybe for Meyers. We could have 10 hitters with double digit HRs and 5 with 20 or more. Plus, what should be our standard (regardless of defense) 1-6 in the lineup all have an OPS of .800 or better before we even get Brantley back. If they can stay healthy, we could be seeing this potential lineup for the postseason: Altuve 2B Brantley LF/DH Yordan DH/LF Tucker RF Bregman 3B Chas CF Diaz C Abreu 1B Pena SS That is a pennant winning offensive lineup. We just need to keep seeing the improvement from the starting rotation. They're showing signs of life lately which is good. People can say we gave up too much for JV, but we're now 4-1 in his starts in which he has a 2.79 ERA. Heck, he has a chance to be a 15-game winner at this rate.

Of course less and less people will if he keeps on winning games with us.

If I recall, I think you just wanted at least a pennant.

I'd like to see at least one more pennant in this window and I'd consider it a success.

Some ugly swings that inning. Doesn't bode well.
Altuve is trying too hard to walk instead of being aggressive early.
