We haven't had a ton of success against Rodon in the past, but this current Rodon has not been very good yet. Let's hope the bats keep showing up, and JV can pitch a little deeper.

Yankees just lost to the Tigers... Man have they completely fallen off. They're 3 games under .500 now. They only have two above-average hitters from an OPS+ standpoint, Gleyber and Judge...
Outside of Cole, all of their starters are considered below average as well. They do have a solid bullpen though. We need to jump on their starters.
Team OPS+: 93 Team ERA+: 108

From a WAR standpoint, Bregman has surpassed Tucker for the team lead. I still think Tucker is having a better season, but it's interesting that Bregman is continuing to finish strong and ending up well. He's currently 9th among position players in WAR for the AL (Tucker is 10th).

The main difference this year is that Bregman is playing GG-level defense from a sabermetric standpoint, and Tucker is actually far below average for some reason. Which is why I'm not sold on defensive WAR. I think Tucker's range is down some from last year, but not from GG-level to horrible...

He looks more tentative and it makes no sense. It’s like he’s avoiding an imaginary Carlos Lee out there.

We're not playing Chas against a lefty...

We're not playing Chas against a lefty... Literally makes zero sense. Dusty thinks Meyers is going to replicate what he did in NY against Rodon. I hope it does, but I am not holding my breath.

This purgatory of having bad games when we can be in first place continues.

And we're stuck with Maldonado batting unless we pull our DH.

And we're stuck with Maldonado batting unless we pull our DH. Dusty has to stop having Yainer DH and Maldonado catch. It’s just dumb. They’re forced to never take Maldy out of the game.

Finally a lefty opponent with JV on the mound? Let's NOT play Dubon in CF when the opposing pitcher is someone he coud maybe actually hit.
And Trashlander coughs it up, amazing trade. Offense goes cold after an off-day of course. If that's not enough, Altuve hurt.
Thank goodness I watch these games on DVR so I can fast forward when they go into utter garbage mode again. And again. And again.

He didn't make the deal.

Unfortunately Junkier has apparently assassinated his good twin since he's the only one who ever shows up anymore.

Brian ladles the criticism from time to time, but having him on the board was fresh air after Corch. Corch rarely typed coherent sentences with a rationalist take, if at all. Good trade

No, the evil twin is always the crappy failure one. Poorust Whitley. Forrest escaped his cell for five innings at A-ball last year before Poorust got him again.
