Blaming Dusty is the easy way out. We need to blame the players too. That's fine. But actually playing baseball is insanely hard. Filling out a decent lineup card and pinch hitting for a helpless slug in an elimination game isn't. |

I appreciate the run we’ve had this year, but anything short of letting Dusty, Maldonado, Cintrón, Snitker, Pettis, and Miller go would be disappointing.

We just need a couple more Verlander type starters and we will be right back in it next year. Should have at least brought Grienke back this year. On a side note, what a waste Garrett Cole has been since going to Gotham.

Look everyone, we have the whole offseason to hear Nathan’s sources for possible FA signings or trades. Well we will have a lot of starters on the roster so there is that. When you balance out the holes in the 40 man that the Rangers have to fill versus what we have to fill and look at the salary cap space for both clubs thing are pretty close between the two clubs. So it will be interesting to see what kind of stamp Brown wants to put on the club. So all in all it was a disappointing season but not unexpected after all the injuries that we suffered to start the year. As they say every dog has his day and today was the Rangers day. See you next year boys. Oh and don't forget Chapmans BS. I am sure we won't. |

I'm disappointed to get so close to another WS and not get there (especially losing all these games at home AGAIN), but I'm not disappointed in the season.
I don't know of any team could lose two starting pitchers for the entire year, AND only have their two best hitters for about 2/3rds of the season and get as far as we did.
And while I'm not putting all of this on Dusty, he definitely hurt more than he helped this year, postseason included. Hopefully we can upgrade in that area.
I'm excited to see what Brown does with a full off-season.

I'm excited to see what Brown does with a full off-season. I agree. With Dusty gone, Maldonado is not the primary catcher. Diaz has spring training to get in sync with the pitchers. I’m looking for Hunter Brown to make a big jump next season. By next season’s end he could be the #3 in the rotation. Dana Brown should be looking for an OF and upper end reliever. Next year’s team should be better |

It's time someone told Verlander and Framber that they no longer have input on the makeup of the roster. They need to focus their efforts on not giving up 6 runs a game.

It is time for a new manager, I agree. But I respect Baker for what he came in and dealt with here. While I want a new manager I will not bash Dusty at all.
