Dusty messed up with Yainer, but Rome is also kind of a douche. He is, but he's also the only one willing to be an actual journalist. No one else would even question good ole' boy Dusty. Incredibly soft sports media market around here, but still Dusty acted like he was under attack. Dusty did a fantastic job of handling the shitshow he was given. I give him an A+ for it. I think it’s good for him and the team that he he decided to retire. Turn the page, it’s time for intelligent, heck I will just take common sense, decision making.

Fangraphs had a good piece this week how Dusty mismanaged the bullpen and lineups in the ALCS

Fangraphs had a good piece this week how Dusty mismanaged the bullpen and lineups in the ALCS I usually try to stick up for Grandpa, but starting Peña and Maldonado in Game 7 when they couldn’t hit water falling out of a boat was the last straw for me. Sure, it didn’t matter the way his starters pitched, but you can’t just go with the status quo until you’re destroyed.
