It's time for Abreu to go. Good lord. He is 0 for whatever hitting with RISP. He also has cost us countless runs on defense. It's past time to go.

I have words. This team better learn to win a game here and there otherwise they got nothing to play for by that A's series in May. I mean, if you can't even compete for The Battle Of The Cellar Dweller trophy why even show up? Come on Astros!

Pathetic showing from the top of the lineup. Now here comes rando fill in relievers to try to stop the Braves from driving in their dumb free runner.

The back end of the pen is not jelling, along with other things. We haven't seen the reincarnation of Lidge, Dotel and Wagner yet.

No matter what happened in the game, here are my takeaways:
1. Abreu is a below average everyday player. I mean even if he can’t hit, he should at least know how to catch a baseball. Not calling up Loperfido at this point would just be grossly negligent. I’m not saying the kid is the next Lou Gehrig, but at the very least he can fortify the bench.
2. This team is woefully inept at hitting line drives. Every team beats them by making solid contact. All the Astros hit are weak grounders or soft fly balls. Ditch this stupid launch angle approach.
3. There is absolutely no reason why this team should be so disgusting to watch in extra innings. The runner is at second base to start the inning. If it’s so hard to get hits with RISP, bunt the damn runner over to third base or steal it. I just don’t understand why an offense such as ours has so much difficulty in simply moving lead runners forward. You see righties pull grounders and lefties hitting it the other way. Even a slight amount of fundamentals would have them win half these games. Instead, I believe that in 2023-24, they’re like 1-10 in extras. How does that even happen? How do you have less than a 10% success rate in a coin flip situation?

For #3
Like you mentioned, when the game goes extra innings, just pack the bats, game over.
