Battle of the 6+ ERAs today. Hopefully Arrighetti can pitch more like he did in May and less like he has in June so far.

Salazar behind the dish again. I like him. It's nice having 3 catchers that don't feel like absolute garbage when they come to the plate.
Caratini and Diaz have combined for about a .664 OPS with 7 HR and 37 RBI in the first half and that's with Yainer having an absolutely atrocious May. I expect all of that to increase quite a bit.
For comparison, Maldonado averaged a .593 OPS for us the previous 3 seasons.

Singleton has had some fun moments, but we really need to upgrade 1B somehow. Christian Walker might be a reasonable rental. Vlad Jr. a little more expensive but an extra year out of him...

Arrighetti is trying to improve all of his metrics in one start. Very impressive game even if it's against a poor offense. I look at this game and the Bloss game against Baltimore has bonuses if we win them.

Trying to force something to happen. It doesn't always work out when he does that, but I think that's how he tries to be a leader for the team when things are dead. |

Overall though, this is a very disappointing showing by the offense after some really good games recently. If it wasn't for Arrighetti pitching the best game of his career so far, we could very easily be losing this game.
