They won't do it, but we're at a point with the lack of production from Meyers and Chas that they should be in bunt situations practically anytime runners are on base.
And if Yordan isn't playing LF, Whitcomb needs to play LF when Bregman is back. Could they teach Diaz or Caratini to play some LF?

I'd have Whitcomb batting ahead of Meyers and Chas at the minimum...maybe even Dubon.

It’s almost not worth trying to seeing if his athletic abilities can produce at the major league level. I wouldn't say I've given up on him, but he has some maturing to do still for sure. There's a very big lack of discipline there. We all agree Chas has been terrible this year, but he hustles and he has some history that would give you hope. |

Nick Pivetta is a guy I would target in the off-season (he's a free agent). He's taken a big step forward the last two seasons and is posting elite K and BB numbers. The fact that it hasn't quite translated to the ERA gives some hope that he might not cost a boatload of money.
