On a side note, goat cheese is delicious. This thread has officially gone past Ridiculous, past Ludicrous...it has gone to Plaid.

Hakeem Olajuwon, Houston Sports greatest player of all time. He was better as Akeem than he ever was as Hakeem. How many championships did he win as “Akeem”?

If memory serves, his first and at least halfway through the season toward the second. Olajuwon changed his first name-spelling to "Hakeem" in 1991. Before Rudy T was head coach, and some years before the championship runHakeem Olajuwon was a great player and the best center the Rockets have had in their existence. He came here from Nigeria and went to UH well before all of this global terrorism became common place. The Rockets surrounded him with the necessary shooters and role players necessary to win a title plus a great coach in Rudy T. I never missed a Rockets game on TV in those days.......I would not walk across the street to watch any NBA game now if admission were free. The NBA had good players in those days instead of the majority of overpaid street thugs like today. Those teams played defense and team basketball. Today's game is all about ME and getting attention for ME. They disrespect the country nearly as much as the punks and tbugs in the NFL who kneel during the anthem. I was as big of a fan as Hakeem Olajumon had. Great Rocket teams in those days.

He was better as Akeem than he ever was as Hakeem. So...? I'm probably biased since I was attending the University of Houston durring Phi Slamma Jamma days. Also taking care of SHASTA at the time. Later, I actually met him on a job related call to relocate some electrical facilities for him. He seemed much shorter in person. Perhaps it was the big man's crouch. (A common situation where a taller man crouches in order to fit in as much as possible.)

Is this the thread where we can read the First "Half" Recap? You're right. My bad. When I joined this board I told myself I wouldn't get in pointless arguments like I used to. I helped ruin my own thread! I'm done with it.

I expect an even better second half. If Springer gets hot again with Bregman and Altuve staying consistent, good things will happen. Getting a healthy Correa back soon (hopefully) will be almost as good as if we traded for a big bat considering how we've done pretty well without him.

I hope we will soon learn when Correa is coming back. We are a much better offense with him in the lineup.

Just getting the news that he is starting a rehab assignment would be a positive at this point.
