yes I must say I was disappointed in losing last night, I really thought we had a chance after taking two of three from the As. Oh well there is always next month.

Numbers verified. I think it should go to InLuhnowWeTrust due to the fact that he nailed the RS prediction. We predict three groups: W/L, Runs Scored, Runs Against. He got 2/3 of the groups correct, and if I learned anything from Meatloaf, Two Out of Three Ain't Bad.

Doing a one game prediction like this only works if both contenders make a prediction. I still say it should be Luhnow because he got 2/3 of the predictions 100% accurate.

Abregmanfan may not have even known he was supposed to make one. If the goal is to force it to a single winner then the playoff system works just fine. If the Astros had of lost 9-3 with TrustinLuhnow predicting a 7-4 win then my sense would be that Bregmanfan would of won. |

Since Abregmanfan didn't make a prediction (even though he didn't know to do so) and InLuhnowWeTrust did (and nearly nailed it), the August championship goes to InLuhnowWeTrust. Congratulations! I figure it's the same principle as drag racing; if one scratches, the other wins by simply driving down the track (at least, they used to do it that way).
