The A's are quickly running out of baseball to play to realize their dream of stealing the division.

Looking at his stats, Straw has speed. Doesn’t hit for power.
I don’t think Devenski is making the post season roster.

A win tomorrow will be huge. An Oakland loss with a Houston win would be gigantic.

I don't think anyone here is anti-Correa, but, if you were watching the game, you saw him get called out on strikes. He was 1-5 and had a couple of good at bats which is an improvement. I think AJ overstated it on the post game when he said "Carlos had a good night".......1 for 5 is not a good night, but, it's better than what he has been doing.

We are seeing enough out of Devenski to know he has no business being on a playoff roster.

Myles Straw has been called up from AAA. Will be available tonight vs. Az. I saw referenced in the interview with Straw on mlb.com, and in the article on mlbtr about his call up, the possibility that he could be on the playoff roster. I just googled up the postseason roster eligibility rule from mlb.com. If the rule has not been changed recently, this is it: “Definition Per Major League Baseball's collective bargaining agreement, players must meet certain criteria in order to be eligible for postseason play. Players must be on the 40-man roster, the 60-day disabled list or the bereavement/family medical emergency list as of midnight ET on Aug. 31 to be eligible for their respective clubs' postseason rosters. Consequently, players that are acquired via September trades or signed as free agents in September are ineligible for postseason play. Clubs can petition the Commissioner's Office to add any player that was not on the 40-man roster as of Aug. 31 -- provided the player was in the organization on Aug. 31 and is replacing a player who has spent at least 60 days on the 60-day disabled list.” Straw was not added to the 40-man roster until 9/15. The only player that I’m aware of who is on the 60-day DL is Gustave and he was moved to the 60-day DL on 9/15. I am assuming that where the rule states “...and is replacing a player who has spent at least 60 days on the 60-day disabled list,” it means 60 days during the current season. Gustave was on the 60-day DL from June 14, 2017 to November 6, 2017, but was then transferred to the 10-day DL and did not go back on the 60-day DL until 9/15/2018. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see how Straw could be eligible to be on a playoff roster this year.
