LMAO. Frisco scored two runs in the top of the 10th.., one of which was the gimme runner who started the inning at second base. Corpus Christi scored three runs in the bottom of the 10th.., one of which was the gimme runner who started the inning at second base. Corpus wins. What exactly was accomplished by giving each team a free runner in scoring position to begin their turn at bat in the 10th inning? What a silly rule. The wussification of baseball as we know it.

I was about to ask what was wrong with Tucker. I can’t find anything on Kyle Tucker to explain why he hasn’t played the last two games. He is not on the DL. He was on a 6-game hitting streak (9-28) prior to sitting out the last two games.

I hope this never becomes a reality at the Major League level. I hope so too. Even more ridiculous is the idea of changing the rules to allow a team that is trailing going into the final inning to disregard the batting order and bat their best hitters in that final inning. Had to be some guy/gal suffering from video game overload who came up with that proposal.

Tony Kemp can still play a little CF. This from last night’s game:

Not the best catch I’ve ever seen him make, but not too shabby.

Kyle Tucker is not ready for prime time. I just looked at Kyle Tucker’s game logs for this season. After his first 10 games he was batting .300 (12-40) with 7 walks vs 8 strikeouts. Over his last 10 games he is batting .209 (9-43) with 4 walks vs 12 strikeouts. Looks like the pitchers at AAA have figured him out and made adjustments in their approach to pitching to him. Now we will see if he can make the adjustments he needs to make.

He never has been a high average guy though so what will determine success.

One home run in 83 at-bats and a .698 OPS in the PCL won’t earn him a promotion methinks.

It really should not given the fact that we have had 4-5 guys who tore up AAA and then came up to do nothing. Not a good indicator so far but it is early and he is young
